Cyanotype printing is a 180-year-old camera-less photographic process that produces a rich Prussian blue monochrome image. Invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842, it uses a light-sensitive mixture of ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide activated by ultraviolet (UV) light or sunlight.
