Art has the extraordinary ability to connect us—to nature, to memories, and to one another. My greatest passion is not only creating art but inspiring others to discover that they can create it too.
Working primarily in charcoal, soft pastel, graphite, watercolour, and acrylic, I am drawn to wildlife, landscapes, pet portraits, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments. My work focuses on capturing atmosphere, emotion, and the play of light, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate the world around them.
As an artist and educator, my mission is simple: to teach the world to draw. Over the years I have guided hundreds of beginners and aspiring artists through workshops, demonstrations, and online tutorials, helping them realise that artistic ability is a skill that can be learned with patience, encouragement, and practice.
I was deeply honoured to be selected as a Wildlife Artist of the Year finalist, a milestone that reflects my love of the natural world and my commitment to continually growing as an artist.
Alongside exhibiting my own work, I teach a wide range of hands-on workshops throughout the Garden Route and create educational content through my online platforms, where I encourage artists of all levels to embrace the joy of creating. I also have numerous wildlife, pets and human commissions under my belt
For me, every artwork tells a story, every lesson builds confidence, and every pencil mark is the beginning of a new creative journey. It is a privilege to share that journey with others, and I am delighted to be part of the vibrant artistic community that makes Knysna such an inspiring place to create.
