Red is not my favorite colour but I find I gravitate towards it when painting as it often provides a dramatic background or pop of colour for contrast. Painting cottages of different descriptions seems to be a theme for me. There were originally “ghost” cottages, but after some consideration they were updated to extend the autumnal foliage.
