This painting was inspired by a large landscape which caught my eye. However, I did not feel confident tackling such a large project at this stage so created two paintings: one focusing on the lake in the veld and a smaller one, Valley of Flowers.

Although I started in 2018, I really did not finish it until 2023 when I was inspired to deal with the clouds’ reflections in the lake.
